Mornings are rough. We recently moved and my alarm goes off at 5:40 AM so I can get a certain high schooler out the door on time.  I really didn’t know 5:40 existed on a clock twice a day until now. LOL. At that time of the morning the only co-ordinated functional thing I can do is walk to my Keurig to make a cup of coffee and this simple Caramel Mocha Latte Oatmeal.

Yes, coffee + oatmeal (made with Keurig) = AMAZING!

So this is my little coffee spot in the new house. Nothing too fancy. It’s just the place that I hit before anything else in the morning. What you can’t see is there is a little cabinet above my keurig where I keep oatmeal. It’s ready to go for mornings when I need to multitask and have coffee and breakfast in one bowl.

I measure out 1/2 cup of oats into a bowl. You can use the plain oatmeal packets if you would rather. Totally up to you.

I quite literally brew my coffee right into my oatmeal. 1/2 cup of dry minute oats to 8 oz of coffee. If you choose to brew your own coffee and not use a Keurig those are the measurements you are going to want.

Now comes my favorite part. I add in a tablespoon or two of semi sweet chocolate chips and stir. The heat from the oatmeal melts them and swirls them in. I mean, coffee and chocolate are all a girl really needs right?

The ingredient list is short and simple. Milk, Sugar, Cream, and Natural Flavor. It is perfect for this simple breakfast. I add a couple tablespoons. The sweetness from the chocolate chips and creamer is enough for me, but if you want to add a little sugar to your oatmeal I won’t judge.
