Easy Apple Doughnuts
A fall treat worth indulging in. Try this Easy Apple Doughnuts Recipe for a fun breakfast or a tasty dessert. Drizzle with a little caramel for extra fun
My hubby gets me into trouble in the kitchen. He starts feeding me ideas, things he thinks would be good. I get busy testing them out and then you end up with things like large platefuls of Easy Apple Doughnuts with caramel sauce drizzled over the top. Yep….he’s trouble.~giggle~
I think the worst part of this trouble is how easy these are to make. You really can have a plate full of doughnuts in as little as 10 minutes start to finish.
I just chopped up an apple into small pieces.
I then popped open a can of refrigerator biscuits. I chose the small ones, if you use the bigger ones, cut them in 2. Wrap a couple of the small pieces of apple in the biscuit dough.
Then drop them into a fryer or a pot with vegetable oil heated to 350 degrees f. Allow the doughnuts to fry 3-4 minutes flipping once. They will be golden brown.
When you remove them from the hot oil roll them in cinnamon sugar. Then you can top them by drizzling Caramel Topping over the doughnuts. You can make your own Caramel Topping in the Crock Pot!
